First Aid at Work Course (FAAW, 3 day)
First Aid is the initial help we can give a casualty for treatment of any sudden injury or illness until more professional help arrives. Through this initial management of injury or illness suffered, lives can be saved and minor injuries prevented from developing into major ones.
This first aid training course is 18 hours in duration, typically run over a period of 3 days following guidelines as set out by Qualsafe.
- Acting safely and promptly and effectively in an emergency
- Preventing Cross infection, recording incidents and actions and use of available equipment
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- Care of an unconscious casualty (including seizure)
- Wounds and Bleeding
- Minor injuries
- Musculo-skeletal injuries
- Sprains and strains
- Spinal injuries
- Chest injuries
- Severe burns and scalds
- Eye injuries
- Poisoning anaphylaxis
- Heart attack
Two Multi-Choice exams and a Practical Assessment.. Upon successful completion of this assessment the delegate will be awarded a Qualsafe Awards or Dynamic First Aid First Aid at Work certificate which will is valid for three years.

£205.00 per person + VAT for Dynamic First Aid qualification
*As of 01 January, 2013 this course can be delivered as either a Qualsafe course or we are also able to deliver the same syllabus as a Dynamic First Aid qualification without official accreditation at a reduced cost.
