First Aid is the initial help we can give a casualty for treatment of any sudden injury or illness until more professional help arrives. Through this initial management of injury or illness suffered, lives can be saved and minor injuries prevented from developing into major ones.

Only candidates with an existing valid and in date First Aid at Work (FAW) certificate are eligible to attend this course. The course is conducted over 12 hours (2 days). Upon successful completion of this assessment the delegate will be awarded a Qualsafe Accreddited course or Dynamic First Aid First Aid at Work certificate which will is valid for three years.

Course Contents:
  • Acting safely and promptly and effectively in an emergency
  • Preventing Cross infection, recording incidents and actions and use of available equipment
  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
  • Care of an unconscious casualty (including seizure)
  • Choking
  • Wounds and Bleeding
  • Shock
  • Minor injuries
  • Musculo-skeletal injuries
  • Fractures
  • Sprains and strains
  • Spinal injuries
  • Chest injuries
  • Severe burns and scalds
  • Eye injuries
  • Poisoning anaphylaxis
  • Heart attack
  • Stroke
  • Asthma
  • Epilepsy
  • Diabetes

Two Multi-Choice exams and Practical Assessment. skills. Upon successful completion of this assessment the delegate will be awarded a Qualsafe Awards certificate or Dynamic First Aid Ltd Certificae which is valid for three years.

Individual (At our venue):

£150.00 per person + VAT for Qualsafel Accreditation
£140.00 per person + VAT for Dynamic First Aid qualification.

*As of 01 January, 2013 this course can be delivered as either a Qualsafe Accreddited course depending or the same syllabus as a Dynamic First Aid qualification without official accreditation at a reduced cost.
